So the dealio is that it would cost me $1,600 to ship and import this little $2,000 850 to where I live in Toronto. I really think that I can just be patient and find a cleaner car locally for $3,600. I love the 850 and I have an awesome mechanic (hilariously named Tony) to help me out so the hunt will continue.

Where is this interesting machine located within the friendly confines of Minnesota? Why would it cost $1600 to move it to Canada?

It's in Nevis. $1,100 to ship it to Detroit, $300 in taxes and fees at the border to import it, $100 in gas to drive to the border and back to pick it up and $100 for out of province inspection.
